Went into tesco in Irvine for fresh fish only to discover it and cold meat counter has closed for good, went into tesco in port Glasgow the other day it was the same,I was told by one of the staff there every tesco in Scotland has closed the fish counters and the cold meat counters and also the delicatessen counters,it must hav been kept quiet and happened so sudden I never seen any notices to say it was going to happen, I was also told the staff at these counters lost there jobs. Any members have any notice that it was about to happen?

For what it's worth, corresponding counters in England are now open only weekends.
If it helps, shrink-packaged fish is, by all accounts, about 1 day fresher than "fresh" on the open counter.
