Bonzo, that reminded me - ten years on and we've started to slow down - the chandeliers are back up.

Coming down the stairs after our meal we heard this fantastic old style Rock 'n' Roll Band with a real live look-alike Elvis type singer. That was it, a big empty dance floor and Betty and I were up there showing the locals all sitting down chatting how we rocked and rolled at the Craigs - got a wee clap at the end from a couple of our fellow outback coach travellers.
Anyways, when the next tune started all those folks we thought were locals started getting up to dance. It wasn't that they were good at Rock 'n' Roll, they were brilliant. Turns out there was a Rock 'n' Roll Festival on that weekend and this was the last night. We hid the big riddees and enjoyed what we both thought was a very special night.
Never noticed during that first dance that those seated folks were all dressed for the occasion and the men and some of the women had black and white patient shoes while the women had their bobby socks and stick-oot dresses - some with matching knickers - couldnae help but notice that.
We've been meaning to do it for years, but now we're into our third week of getting proper Rock 'n' Roll lessons in a class of about fifty. Thought we were good before, you should see us now! Well ... we're participating.

Here's a phenominal group. No musical instruments involved involved.
