Thanks for pointing that out Meg , I actually lived in pennyburn although i spent a lot of my free time / weekends in saltcoats and also worked in the abattoir next to the golf course for about a year, big JIM H was the manager at the time . my choice would be Bridlington in north east Yorkshire . It has plenty a boat to take you out fishing and pleasure boats for a good wee trip round the area to flamborough head ,plenty a birds to see if thats your thing .Bridlington also has a nice big sandy beach like Saltcoats and a rocky beach as ...

Which were the best pies ? Great pies they both are ,although if i ate a shorts pie was mixed feelings as i had no lumber . Also can you remember a place in kilmarnock that sold a roll on mince ,never seen it anywhere else to this day .
