I remember the bank building being at 2 Raise St.it was used for accommodation when I was a boy.I delivered milk to it.It was demolished about 1971????

hughie,I never heard it called Donalds rooms,but as far as I know Dan Bonaldi changed his name to Donald during the war,so its likely its the hall in Windmill St they mean.

PT, PORRY was married to my fathers cousin and I remember him.the man you mention looks a very old man and Porry would be in his late 50's early 60's when this photo was taken

Hi Hughie,great info ,keep it coming, the Dan McMillan who sent in the letter to the paper was known as TANNER,he got that name from working in I think Woolworths ,know as the sixpence bazzar

Hughie,Matt Taylor was indeed my uncle,money wise he was backed by Dan Bonaldi who had the billiard hall in Windmill St.I'd like to know the result of that match?
