Thanks for pics, and here's a bit of local info. As best I can remember the pool fell into disuse probably in the 60's. Later on it was used by a Saltcoats man, Neil Gibson, as a base for his business, which involved the gathering and sale (motly, I think abroad) of "wulks" as we call them...
