The John McBlain that we have in our tree was the son of David McBlain and Hannah McCulloch, he married Sarah Donaldson Foster McDowell Clarke, trying to find out as much as possible about her, we THINK that she died about 1951/52......Del.

With Hughie's post bringing this topic to life again, just wanted to say that I have still not found a death for Samuel Allan Clarke's father, Samuel snr. Although this was most likely in Ireland, if anyone has ANYTHING of interest, I would be most pleased to hear it............Del.

Hughie, Thank you for that, I see that Samuel's second name is spelt ALLEN, not ALLAN, very interesting.....one more thing, I have Sam and Jessie's deaths in Saltcoats, I assume that is where the photo was taken ?........Del.

Just realised, that ties in , with what pmlynn said, Agnes's son Hugh Calvert was born at 33 Glasgow Street Ardrossan.....in 1900.......Del.

Sheenaj, I think that Agnes McCready/McCreadie was born at Gateshead England, how she came to marry in Ireland I don't know, she was certainly in Scotland by 1901, living at 33 Glasgow St. Ardrossan.......Del.

pmlynn, Andrew Calvert was killed at Ardrossan in January 1903, whilst unloading a ship, he was struck on the head by a barrel, and died at the Western Infirmary Glasgow........Del.
