Netflix "Faraway". The throw-away one-liners between the two main characters are absolutely hilarious!!! Grab the popcorn, get seated comfortably and be entertained.

Hi Hughie, did you, like me, catch frogs and attempt to gather swan eggs in the swamp?

Re: The Lost Village of Ardeer - video online
I watched this very informative and well made video on YouTube and recognised more than a few locations visited by the presenter; most especially the harbour and pit-head structure which, when I was a boy, was known as "Auchenharvie Swamp".
Ah, memories of many years ago!

How The Game Should Be Played
A huge Well Done to Rangers for allowing Partick Thistle to score. Sportsmanship is how the game should be played!

I recall him as "Sandy" Lawson. He was a tall slim man whose house was immediately adjacent to what was then St Brendan's Parish Church.

Re: Some Herald BMD from the 60s and 70s
Just now noticed my own Wedding Announcement - downsouth entry dated 7 Nov 2022.
While serving in the RN, I met Rita here in Perth, WA and proposed after 4, yes 4 days. We are married 50 years and 8 months later - mainly, I must add, due to her patience as I can be a difficult man to live with.
