Just heard the sad news that Jane Russell passed away.
She has quite an interesting bio.

Re: The King's speech
Betteric----British Academy of Film and Television Awards Thanks for the info. I watched the Oscars right to the end. I love the glitz and the glamour. So happy for Colin. Any movie Colin is in I won't miss. I really didn't notice him until "Pride and Prejudice." but I'm sure his acting c...

Re: The King's speech
Will be giving away my age here, but I actually listened to his speech on the radio while living in Glasgow.
What I remember when he was speaking was that he had a lisp, not a stammer, but as it was so long ago can't really say for sure.

Re: The King's speech
I just adore Colin Firth. If he doesn't receive the Oscar for his performance I'll just cry. However, I understand he is up against some heavy weights. and as I havn't seen the other nominees movies, really can't comment. But no matter, he has to win it. And of course it goes without saying that Geo...

Hi all, Need to ask a favor. Can anyone find me the "WRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS" for the Kandahar Reel. This is for my sister. She wants to practise for the Grand Ball coming up in December. She doesn't have a computer, but I did send a You Tube video and emailed it to her daughter to show her. ...

Re: Scottish sayings.
Thanks Hughie and Calley for your explanations of "your face in a tinny" which really didn't relate to what I was saying to my mom.
What I think she was trying to tell me in a jocular manner, that I was full of it. lol

Scottish sayings.
Hi all, Was searching the net for an expression my mother used quite often, and I can't remember if I ever asked her what this saying really meant. Don't remember if I did. "och, your face in a tinny." I found one Scottish Site that had a song with the line "washing your face in a tin...

Re: Picture Puzzle - Name the movie
Hi Hughie, Find this picture puzzle forum very interesting so thought I could revive it with a picture puzzle of my own, but not too successful. Tried to put a picture puzzle in, but I think it gives the answer away. I tried "Img" and that didn't work, then I tried html and that gave the n...
