ARDROSSAN WINTON ROVERS HAVE WON THE LEAGUE AND GAINED PROMOTION FOR THE SECOND YEAR IN A ROW. After beating Caledonian Locomotives 5-4, they were presented with the West of Scotland Football Second Division League Trophy. There were happy celebrations with players and coaching staff and their famil...

WERE YOUR RELATIVES’ ASHES SCATTERED AT WINTON PARK?
Ardrossan Winton Rovers are nearing the end a season in which they have been promoted for the second successive time. Next season they will play in the West of Scotland Football League First Division – most likely as Second Division champions if they do well in their remaining three games. After the...

Re: The Ardrossan Tabernacle
Penny Tray My guess is that The Ardrossan Tabernacle was in Bute Place as the building with the red door at this link - http://www.s173884875.websitehome.co.uk/Bute%20Place%206B.htm . The building with the red door in the background was built as the Evangelical Union (EU) Congregational Church and o...

Re: Ardrossan - On This Day In History
I have just learned that John Goodwin was born on 19 May 1893 at 2 WINTON STREET, Ardrossan, 220 yards or two pitch lengths from WINTON PARK where he played for WINTON ROVERS.

Re: Ardrossan - On This Day In History
John Alexander Goodwin was the first Winton Rovers player to play for the Scottish Junior national team when he represented his country against England in front of a crowd of 20000 at Firhill Park, Glasgow on 1 April 1911. He made two other international appearances, scoring in a 2-0 win against Ire...

Much news nowadays is bad so it’s a joy to hear a happy story - and long may the togetherness continue. Congratulations and best wishes to you both, Hughie and Betty.
