I had not heard of Otto Kiep and his connection with Saltcoats until I read the above article. A quick look on Wiki tells his story.

I remember a cycle shop at the bottom of Raise Street that I used to visit often but I cannot remember the name of it.

This must have been a purple patch for the Vics. As well as winning the Scottish Cup in seasono 24/25 they won the Ayrshire League the previous season and the following one too.

Hi Susan, In the 60s I would only go to that part of Saltcoats to watch the mighty Saltcoats Victoria at home in Campbell Park.
