When i go for my second jab later this month i just need to nip down the road. Maybe its because I'm Scottish :P We can get ou...

Re: Coronavirus pandemic

Asked when I was waiting for Bob at the doctors today and apparently 2nd dose of AstraZenaca can be given sooner than 12 weeks but the powers that be have decided you get a better result at 12 weeks.
So guess we will wait the twelve weeks

Re: Coronavirus pandemic

Perhaps different states in Australia have different rules about how soon you can get your 2nd vaccination as I see Wee Boney is getting his sooner in Queensland.

Re: Coronavirus pandemic

I got my first jab on Thursday. Moderna (American). Apart from some pain in the arm the next day I've had no symptoms. Next jab end of May. Then I get a green passport so hopefully can start to travel again. Don’t you have to wait 12 weeks between first and second jab. I had my first on 10th April ...

Re: BeeGees in Melbourne, Australia.

Enoyed 2 hours of BeeGees songs last night on Sky Arts. Their concert in the Melbourne National Tennis Centre in 1989, absoloutly packed out. Were you there Hughie? Didn’t see the BeeGees in Melbourne but saw them in Sydney. My best friend adores them so we had a weekend in Sydney . They performed ...

Meg, Bobby and Iwent to our Local service in Drysdale. There was a shorter service due to Covid restrictions but still very moving.
Last year we just stood in our driveway at dawn as did a couple of our neighbours.
Lest we forget.

Re: Ardrossan - On This Day In History

I went to school with a Grandson of Provost Beggs. His name was Douglas Beggs, he had a brother Jim and sister Elizabeth. At least I think that was their names. Douglas was living in Canada last time I heard from him. If I can find his email address I will contact him and tell him you are enquiring ...

Re: Coronavirus pandemic

Bob and I got our first Covid jag on Sat. So far so good. I was feeling cold on Sat night but that may have been because of a drop in temp in Victoria. 30 degrees on Thursday and snow in the Alps on Sunday.
Second jag end of June . Will get flu vaccine in Two weeks.

Re: The Anderson Family - Ardrossan - WWI

I wondered if there was a connection to Puffer. He lived up Winton street at the school end. Remember he had a very big rocking horse in the front room.
Looking at Google maps no 25 is where Puffer lived.

Should not Google things late at night. It was 26 where I visited Puffer with my Dad.
