Thanks for posting that story. Found it very interesting and enlightening as I had no idea any bombs had fallen on ICI.
I had heard that a dummy factory had been constructed near Montfode farm to try and mislead the German bombers.

Had never heard before that a U boat was sunk at the entrance to Ardrossan harbour.
Anyone know of further particulars?

Just wondering PT when the report says the "Mcflannel case" does that have anything to do with the old radio programme in the 50's called "The Mcflannels" ?

I was born at 160 Glasgow Street but probably long before your time.
I've been in Canada 66 years but still have dreams about my youth in Glasgow street.
Only returned twice to Scotland but still miss it.
