Re: Stevenston Junior Secondary 1947
Hi Keith Steed is my brother. I was at Stevenston "High" a wee bit later then him<G>, but was know as "Iain" then. Keith is now retired(obviously) and lives in Kilwinning. He latterly taught at Greenwood. It seems he was doing some clearing out and found the photo a couple of mon...

Re: Scottish independence - how would you vote?
To those that vote "No" I would say that they should think of several things. Firstly why should we continue to send all our monies from taxation etc. down to Westminster and be granted a subsidy which does not bear any relation to the amount sent down! Then there is the issue of Scotland ...

Re: STEED family
Hi there
Have spoken to Keith - he was, so I understand prior to retirement, Head of Modern Languages at Greenwood.
As far as he is concerned he does not wish to comment on anything he has done whilst he was a teacher - closed book!
If I can help you in any way, though, please ask.
Sorry.

Re: STEED family
Have sent an e-mail to George today as this was very helpful and interesting. As he says though 5 years is a long time and research has moved on a lot.
Will see what I can do to update the family.

Re: MURRAY, Jessie McCreadie - Schoolwell Street, 1897
Many thanks for all info. My chap is Samuel McFADZEAN born circa 1811 who married a Margaret COOK. However, he "popped his clogs" before 1855 - trying to get his parents is well nigh impossible. Have been going round the houses just trying to sort it out. They had a daughter Eleanor (and v...

Jane Stirling - missing contact
Looking to contact Jane as she used to live in Australia now understand she has returned to her native Saltcoats.
She was doing research on her BARR ancestors and, also as a consequence, some of the STEED people got in there as well<G>.
Anyone help please.
