Re: Arthur Street
Sandra, would your mother's maiden name also be "Margaret Paton"? Did she emigrate to New Zealand from West Kilbride?
If the above is correct then I may have some memories for you.

Re: Breckenridge from Ardrossan
Billy, Ian Breckenbridge (Ardrossan) had a cousin (William Breckenbridge) who lived in Highthorne Crescent West Kilbride, during the 40's/50's, along with his mother (Annie). They were very well thought of and held in high regard in the village. I never knew his father. Hope this helps.

Re: Farmer's name Carlung Farm
Harry - your'e memory is a blast from the past! I used to do the "tatties" at Yonderfield during the 50's and John Wardrop is a name I had completely forgotten. Ms Pierce was always at Yonderfield although I dont know if she actually "lived" there on the farm itself. You might ha...

Re: Farmer's name Carlung Farm
Ian, I am originally from West Kilbride, and therefore know all the farms and the people. (I worked casually on most of the farms at one time or another - a way of life for a lot of people in those days). Most of my family do in fact still live there. If I can help in any way, then please let me kno...
