Yes ,The entrance to the old waterworks is about 400 yards up from Ardeer Golf Course( new one) and to the right as you go up that road.

There is a Street in Kilwinning named "James Clements Close I am almost certain that this was named after Provost Clements son James who was indeed a councillor in Kilwinning .
