Does'nt matter to me. St.Andrews was a, very good, experience in my life. Good memories, a good education (the teachers really tried to educate us) made good friends and met my soulmate.
What more could you want, other than a couple million quid?

There was no fancy opening day whatsoever, nor was there ever, to my knowledge, anyway, any sort of ceremony at a later I'm pretty sure it was formerly Saltcoats Public before becoming St Andrew's in 1971. Hi. I'm John. Ardrossan born and bred. Living in Saltcoats just now, but have been around a lot of scottish towns.
Went to st.peters primary annexe, eglinton then St. Andrews. From 1971 till 1975.
Wife went to St. Andrews too.
