Thanks for this Brian. I lost my password so was of for awhile. Was friendly with two girls who lived next door to my great uncle and aunt, willie and Dora murray. The girls were gemma and frances muir. I learned gemma died young (52)

Hi Yes John Mchlaughlin did he was /is a friend of my uncle Vincent Murray who went on himself to be a deputy head and Councillor for both Cumbernauld & KIlsyth Distrct and North Lanarkshire Councils.

I knew iof Biggart's in Lugton just outside Beith, My dad a stevenston boy felt they wwere related to the stevenston buiggart's. Is this the csase. I remember an auld Nan Biggart who was in her 90's in the 1980's. M

Hi Sadly the Guy I was looking for is dead. Seems he married and lived in Troon. However he died arounf the same time as my dad (unrelated) in 2005. He too had been a widower. They had run abbout with a B=illy Clark also from Steventson bnorn circa 1934/35. Any info on him appreciared. M
