Hi, I think that they must have able to get heavy things (weapons, food, bedding etc.) into the castle and therefore i think of three things: some sort of rope pulley system to lift objects a retractable ramp a rollup ramp (similar to a wooden foot bridge but not sure where the support comes from) H...
