Tuesday, 20th April.
Is anyone able to access Ayrshire-Roots? I have attempted on several occasions during the past few days but continually receive the message " ..... server not found"

Thanks, Hughie, I'll give that a try. Sorry if I sounded crabby in my post. Apologies all around.

Catherine,
:secret: Consider going to: http://www.ayrshire-roots.co.uk/vSignup/signup.php and signing up again, perhaps even using a throw-away e-mail address - you'll be in in minutes viewing this wonderful resource tool.

In all my years I've tried over and over again to access this site and was never able to get in..even after contacting ASH.
It seems, long ago I joined with a password and long ago my password wasn't recognized and it still isn't recognized...but that's okay, I've forgotten the password anyhow...carry on.

Nan, I don't pretend to know what is wrong, but when I was trying to research my own family tree I eventually discovered the website of the General register Office of Scotland (GROS) which is called "Scotlandspeople". It gives access to births, marriages, deaths and censuses for a very small charge. Congratulations to ASH for sterling work, but, as Alex says, if it's not in the paper there's nothing he can do about that. hoping this helps you and anybody else who is trying to trace their roots. Best of luck.

Nan, I just checked and you are using hotmail. They are notorious for sending such automatic response posts to the trash can - sometimes they tag them as spam. So check for the password reminder in your hotmail account's trash can. Hope this helps.
