Thinking of Milda, sadly on the 12th of April It will be two years since she left us.
Hope her family are slowly coming to terms with their loss.

Just about to read my daily bread and do a bit of studying, then attend to the menial stuff , putting up shelves , then fixing a new king-size bed which although a quality product in the matter of wood used the holding brackets are held in by quarter inch screws which have after a month fell out .
After attending to all the jobs crack open my one and only bottle of Stella and relax

It's exactly fifty years ago today since I left the Three Towns for England. Where did the time go ? Fifty years ago used to be the First World War....
I wouldn't want to go back and live there now; too depressing to walk along Dockhead Street thinking of the way it used to be. Though I hope to visit some day before I'm too old to climb Castle Hill.
But I could never have imagined way back then that it would be possible to " go back " without moving from my chair; to see how everywhere looks now with a click of the mouse on such a wonderful invention as Streetview; to keep up with the news on the A&S Herald website; above all, to be among Three Towns folk and reminisce with them , to live virtually in the Three Towns, via the truly amazing Threetowners website. I couldn't believe my luck when I came across it; I still can't believe my luck now, after over ten years of sheer enjoyment.
Thank you Hughie, a thousand times.
Susan

Thanks, Susan and Brian. Maintaining the passion is not a problem.

At my grandsons end of term musical concert today I was surprised to hear the beautiful 'Skye Boat Song' being played by flutes and xylophones by 12
year olds. I must investigate, perhaps the music teacher has Scottish origins. I wonder if the story of Bonnie Prince Charlie was explained to these pupils. It dates back to 1870.
This was the last tune I expected to hear at an Italian school concert!
