stivis, I think the name of the band might have been "The Frame" , the guitarist you are thinking of is Pat Trainer but I'm not sure if he was in this line up ? .

Yes Pat Trainer ,I think he was the second guitarist in the band The first no doubt leaving due to" artistic differences" PT might have left later and someone else moved in
Not sure about it being called the Frame

Definitely Delta Crux. The two Pat Traynors were in it I think, also the late Sam Scott on keyboards. Can't remember who else though?

It was pointed out to me that my name (Colin Brown) appears in this thread and I thought I could help with some information about the bands The Vision and Frame who were from this area in the late '60s.

The Vision / Frame: 14 December 1967 – 29 August 1970

The Vision began appropriately enough as a vision during 1966-67, amongst members of 3rd Stevenston BB. Colin Brown, Thomson Ellingham and Tommy Newall would have been 14 years old when the first rumblings started, while James Cobb and Jimmy Tinsley were more likely 16.

Their first gig was at Hunterston Nuclear Power Station, a Christmas Party for staff members’ children, on the evening of 14 December 1967. Their final gig was at Ardeer Golf Club on 29 August 1970

Band Line-ups. All from Stevenston unless otherwise stated.
