Went to see my wee granddaughter Niamh (pronounced Neeve) swim three kilometers today. She didn't know we'd be there - we arrived after she started on purpose. She had to do the three K's before she turned eight so she'd get her gold medal and a framed photo to go up on the wall at her home pool - she's dreamt of that.
On the way there we stopped of so we could see other two granddaughters competing in cross country running in the Geelong Botanical Gardens. Sport is so good for kids, even more so in these days of TV's and computers.
Here she is with her mum and dad - our eldest boy Scott.
