Hi maggie, thanks for replying.Yes I remember your family well, your mum was a lovely soul and always stopped with me if I was over on holiday. The only one I ever contacted through friends reunited was Linda Kingsman because we played together as kids for a good while.I haven't seen Mary Jardine for ages ,pass on my good wishes please. All the best Milda

Thanks Maggie ,I do have that photo, which I have looked at quite often in the past.I was over in Scotland last year and I also walked down Wellpark road and had a wee look at 39,as I do at 4 Pirnmill Road where we moved when I was 10.Yes none of us had brothers or sisters,it could be a bit lonely at times but there were that many kids about ,that there was always somebody to play with.Of course,we had no t.v.either,so I used to go up to my Uncle John's on a Sunday to watch it.You would remember him Maggie,he had the ironmongers near where Boots is now.bye for now Milda

We lived on Wellpark Road when I was little. My big sister is Wendy Stewart-midddle of picture.
My Mum often told us the story of our tortoise 'tommy' he would start walking in the morning and mid day there would be the call out "Mary your tortoise is up here!" .So we had to go retreive him.Guess he had a 'girlfriend up the road or something
I was born the year of the Coronation so was not in the photo-being too little.
We later moved to 17 Argyle road.
