It's been a week, 124 people have viewed this post so they can't say they haven't seen it, but NOBODY HAS REPLIED !!! Quite why we're all so reluctant to break the ice I don't know, unless it's that you're all waiting for nearer the time, but here goes.
Very best wishes at Christmastime to all Threetowners and visitors. You'll have a few problems making it a very merry one with all the restrictions, but I hope you manage it as far as possible. As for a Guid New Year, 2021 is certainly something to look forward to; we can at least hope that it's the year when we finally defeat the dreaded Coronavirus.

I hope everyone has a fantastic Christmas (maybe different from normal) but fantastic anyway and a great New year. I hope by late spring early summer things start getting back to normal for everybody.

Merry Xmas and all the best to you and yours, wherever you may be in this crazy world.
I always think back to happier times, growing up in Saltcoats, from patiently waiting for Santa to arrive and using his magic key to get into our house up in the All Electrics (no chimneys so that was what my Mum told me in response to my question), to going out to the pubs on Xmas Eve and enjoying the cloudy head on Xmas Day, Asti Spumanti with the Xmas dinner, then on to New Year and Scotch and Wry on the telly, hedgehogs with cheese, ham and pickled onions on a cocktail stick shoved into a tinfoil covered half orange or grapefruit, mushy peas with vinegar to sober up the visitors first footing you, and steak pie with links in it to eke out the meat for the meal on New Years Day.
Friends, family, neighbours, community, that’s what this season is meant to be all about. Sadly a bit more virtually these days.
Thanks to all the admins and posters on this forum, you help keep this displaced Saltcoats lad still remember the homeland.
