Although 'Little Owls' aren't a native species of the UK, they seem to have done ok since being introduced here during the Victorian era. It's unlikely you'll see any in the wild up here in Scotland though as the population are almost all to be found south of the border.
Coincidentally Viv, their ashy brown and white speckled feather's provide excellent camouflage for them in one of their favourite tree's, the ASH.
