what is the history regarding street with no name next to the former high tide pub?
is it a road that was never named or is it true as stories are said that someone filled out forms to council many moons ago and where it sais road name they put no name and that was what was put on public record?

There was a passing reference to that unnamed street in : this topic. But I think it's mentioned elsewhere too.

Here is a photo of the street with no name. It was taken in 2002. The street runs between Hunter Avenue and Parkhouse Road.

My guess is that the street has no name because there are no houses so no identification is needed for delivering mail.

Burn Road runs from the end of Montgomerie Crescent in Saltcoats across the Galloway or Stanley Burn to the mini roundabout near Saint Andrew's Church.

Being an Ardrossan street it extends from the junction of South Crescent Road, Ardrossan, towards Montgomerie Crescent, Saltcoats, and stops at a part of the road which corresponds with the middle of the Galloway Burn, this being the boundary between the two burghs. It probably doesn't need to be said but this is also the point at which Montgomerie Crescent, Saltcoats, begins.
