Hunterston Social Club pictures early 1970s

As we've mentioned before on 3T, Hunterston Social Club was sited in Ardrossan, first at Bute Place and then on South Crescent ( see here ). So it's a reasonable assumption that these pictures of events there will include local residents.

This first one dates from May 1972, and shows participants at a coffee morning.

Here's another picture dating from April 1975; it shows members of the ladies' section with as guests, local senior citizens.

On the supposition that Hunterston Bowling Club was an offshoot of the social club, here finally in this set of photos is a picture of their trophy-winning team in September 1974. But I may be wrong .

this was the team from the South of Scotland Electricity Board Soc and Rec section nothing to do with Hunterston social club!

Re Hunterston social club photographs . Is Bob Flynn late of ' Metalic ' back row centre ?. Also Bowling team , I bowled with Tom Reid, ( Rootie) and Jock Wallace, and his brother Willie, Ardrossan indoor, through the seventies. Ah, what memories. Tam was a big gentleman.

Peter Bird was one of the good guys. He was one of the trainers that put me through my paces when I first started at Hunterston.
