We've heard before of the frankly named Old Men's Club that there used to be in Saltcoats. It formerly met in a building on the Braes ( see here) , but by the time of this picture in spring 1972 their home was the Old Manse at the Glebe. However this special occasion of their annual dinner was being held at the Lesser Town Hall.
It looks like there are some trophies to be presented, and Provost Mrs Netta Lambie one guesses is there to do the honours.
