I had an interesting conversation with a taxi driver last week. We were blethering en route to the station and he asked me what I did for a living. When I said I was a primary school teacher, he said his sister was a retired teacher who lived in Canada. He went on to say that she married a doctor from Ardrossan and they emigrated in the early 1970s. He was gobsmacked when I asked if it was Doctor Harrison she had married until I explained I was from Ardrossan and was actually registered with the practice he worked in. For those that remember him he is now happily retired and in good health still living in Canada.

This is how the Medical Centre looked last night. It is due to open on Tuesday 27 May.

The Centre opened this morning on schedule. It is officially known as the South Beach Medical Centre.

Attended an open evening at the new centre tonite.

Inside really modern, has underfloor heating and air conditioning, a great improvement on the
old premises. Also more parking . Will make a difference to both patients and staff
