Christmas & New Year Greetings - add yours 2009/10

Post by Hughie »

I would like to wish all members on our threetowners forum a wonderful Christmas and a prosperous, happy and healthy New Year in 2010. My best wishes go out to each and everyone of you and to your families.

This year was a special year for us at threetowners. In addition to it being our group's tenth anniversary on the internet, it also coincided with the 250th anniversary of the birth of our very own Rabbie Burns and also Scotland's homecoming year. What magic memories many of us have of our own local homecoming events.

Those local events were all painstakingly planned for (in the lounge at the Grant's Arms in the Boglemart) by our Threetowners Social Committee. So successful was the quiz night back in July, another one was held just last week which also proved to be a resounding success. A special thank you to the committee for all their hard work.

Merry Xmas and a Happy 2010 to all. :santa01:
I am not looking forward to a White Xmas as it is too dangerous for people who travel to be together with their family and or friends. Snow looks good on cards but not on roads

LAST CHRISTMAS...I was a lurker with my nose pressed up against the Threetowners windowpane. :(

THIS CHRISTMAS... I'm inside in the warm and having a wonderful time. :D

Thank you all for making me so welcome; and I hope lots of other lurkers decide to join in next year.

All my good wishes for a merry Christmas to everyone who visits Threetowners. And if you're having hard times or sad times and Christmas can't be quite so merry for you, then I hope there can be better times soon around the corner. And I hope that 3T helps cheer you up a bit anyway.

I am happy to have joined the 3T family during 2009 - it was great attending our homecoming events as a threetowner and meeting new friends. I hope that you have a great Christmas, that Santa brings you what you most want, and that 2010 proves to be a great year for each of us. (If you need some festive fun, click on the snowglobe.)

All the sentiments above from me too, it's wonderful to be a part of this global family and I cheer up when checking my email to see 'topic reply notification'! Meeting some of you at the Hip Flask was great! :D
Let's hope the economy gets better next year so we can all stop worrying about oor "old age" !
Thank you, Hughie, for this wonderful opportunity to keep in touch with the Threetowns, to learn new things, and remember things we had forgotten, and thanks to all the members for the terrific input! :santa01:
