Following my previous request for any info it would appear from death records this is the man who was my great grandfather.
He died in 1899 but his wife died just a few months after him in early 1900. Both addresses at the time were the Cross Keys in Stevenston.
His wifes name was Elizabeth Winning nee Drennan.
Is there any records of what happened to their daughter Elizabeth Fisher Winning who was my gran?
She gets a mention in the will where the business and personal affairs were put in trust but we have no idea what happened to their daughter until she married at 24.
There is a large 10 yr gap from her parents dying till she married.
She was app 10/11 when her mother died so was she put in care or did she get taken in by someone?
Not sure about leaving ages for school back then was it 12 ? She might be on some local institution records??

According to the 1911 census, Elizabeth was staying with her cousin Agnes Mungle (née Morris), and her husband William at 5 Old Sneddon, Paisley. Agnes's mother's maiden name was Drennan. Perhaps the Drennan family looked after her when her mother died.

You will probably have this, but just in case - an old Scottish Post office Directory, in addition to having William Drennan in business at 5 Old Sneddon, show him to have a house at Mill Place, Camphill, Paisley.
Nothing is ever really lost to us as long as we remember it.

Ok found it thanks.
It would appear she was taken in by her relatives on her mothers side. Aunt/Uncle? Thanks for your help.
