Joyce,

You may already have all this information, if connected to your family, but I see the Ayrshire Directory 1935-1936-1937 lists a Robert McCallum, plasterer, at 4 Melbourne Terrace, Saltcoats.

This publication also includes: -

John McCallum, plasterer, 5 Stanley Road, Saltcoats.
John McCallum, plasterer, 86 Raise Street, Saltcoats.
Matthew McCallum, plasterer, 12 Union Street, Saltcoats.

The two John McCallums may be one and the same person if he moved house during the three year period covered by the publication.
Nothing is ever really lost to us as long as we remember it.

Hi 😊 Matthew McCallum 12 union st was my great grandfather.
My grandfather was Jock McCallum.
It was actually 1901 he was born not 1900 as I previously wrote on original post.

Thanks Donna.

I have some data that I researched about twenty years ago about John McCallum who married Elizabeth Barbour. They were married 11/12/1835. John was born in 1807 and died 31/05/1881. His parents were John McCallum and Catherine Millar. (no other information). Elizabeth was born 1808 and died 21/07/1891. Elizabeth's parents were Francis Barbour, born 1782 andMargaret Millar (or Miller), born 1786. They were married in 1803.

Hi Scott,

Thank you for your reply!
I'm not very good at transferring family tree information.
I have trees on every site 😂

On my heritage tree I have Matthew (great grandfather) going back five generations.

I haven't had much time over past few years.

hi penny, yes that's right, that Robert McCallum, plasterer, was my great grandpa of 4 Melbourne Terrace. his son was john, also a plasterer, same address and his son was my dad, also a Robert McCallum. I can't get any further back than Katherin Wilkie marrying an older John McCallum in Paisley in 1794. I think we are all related in some way...Someone has mentioned a Margaret Dunlop, well my grandma was Margaret Dunlop Donohoe in Saltcoats /Ardrossan so I am sure they must be related.
