I have recently started reading Craig Russel “Lennox” books.They are about a private investigator In fifties Glasgow.He gets involved in some unsavory situations and Glasgow gangsters.A lot of the places he goes to are very familiar,and occasionally mentions going to Ayrshire and other places roundabout Glasgow.The only problem I found was trying to put his books down.It is a series of 5 books and can be found quite cheaply on e-bay.

Ohhh thanks Gordon - I’m always looking for books in the Tartan noir genre. I love to listen to books whilst sewing so I’m going to give Mr Russell a go.
