Certainly has changed quite a bit , I can remember a " trim track running along there although it may not have went as far , it did go along the old caly banking where the maple leaf was , I think this particular stretch is now classed as a wildlife sanctuary.
Speaking of wildlife can anyone remember a story posted in the herald ? Maybe mid to late eighties or early nineties about the local wildlife hanging around Stevenston railway station ? It was hilarious, mentioning how the wildlife would make territorial noises when large fast moving worms would speed through their territory lol.
I thought it may have been Gavin Mcinnes or my father Eddie Miller.
Never found out and haven't had time yet to look through old copies.
