Bobby Creed

Post by Del 80 »

Trying to find out if Robert Creed (possible middle name Sanders) was married.....he was born 1937 Ardrossan and died 2003 Saltcoats….possible marriage on SP 1972 Kilmarnock to Mary Dalziel Richmond.....how to tell if it is him, without ordering the certificate ?......

I don't think you can ,unless someone knows him. Could be in the Register at a local library for voting or perhaps at the town hall Irvine.

Thanks for that.....He has been on our tree for a while now, and someone said recently, that they thought he was married, and asked if I knew....the marriage on SP does look as though it could be him....maybe someone will pick up on it...…...

Thanks for that.....it gets a bit complicated.....Annie Smith Clarke's mother was Susannah McDowell...her second husband's name was SANDERS.....she was first married to the elusive Samuel Clarke, who, she states on Annie's birth certificate "is not the father of this child".....Samuel Clarke "disappeared" about 1900 in Ireland, and I am clutching at straws trying to find out what happened to him...….

Yes, that is Susannah's second marriage, Annie Smith Clarke was born in 1910, at Ardrossan…..Robert Sanders may, or may not have been her father.....he is not named on her birth certificate....Anne McDowell, maiden name Smyth or Smith was Susannah's mother.....

That's Susannah's first marriage.....Samuel Clarke went to jail in about 1900, for a serious assault on her, and was never heard of again...….the older members of the family never spoke of him, but must have known what happened to him, sadly they are all gone now......
