At the other end of the political spectrum now, we have Stevenston Conservatives at a coffee morning in October 1970, which was graced by our then local Tory MP for Bute and North Ayrshire, Sir Fitzroy Maclean. We recently mentioned his adventurous career before becoming an MP : see here . For those that don't recognise him, he's seated at the table second from right.

Think to her left is a Mrs Beattie and bottom left front is Katie McBlain

Sure is. Katie McBlain, and either Nellie or Lizzie Beattie. Knew them both as a kid but can't remember which one it is.
