Nicol Family from Stevenston

Hi everyone,

I'm researching Peter Nicol who owned a magazine/news shop at the Ardeer Plant or on New Street in the late 1800's until at least 1926. I found an old card that said "Geo. Nicol, Chemist New Street". I don't know if Geo. and Peter have anything to do with one another.
Also my grandfather Edward Nicol (Peter's son) was born at Lucknow cottage in 1894 and then later lived on Lundholm Road. Does anyone have any information on these people or the places they worked or lived at. Edward was an electrician at the Ardeer plant until 1926. I would appreciate any information.
