Well the Ukip has been invited to a TV debate ,and all parties not included are protesting about it. Including SNP.

Limiting Scottish Labour MPs on voting rights in Westminster ,just will not work. As someone pointed out ,seldom is there a debate on wholly English motions ,that does not have a clause regarding the rest of the UK.

SC

Still a lot of argo out there .

Edit- There is also a lot of people, saying they will not be voting Tory in 2015

I'm just speculating but I wouldn't be surprised to see dramatic changes in leadership of UK parties in the run-up to next spring's General Election. Boris Johnston and/or David Davis to take over at the front of the Tories with John Redwood in the near background. Ed Balls to oust the Millibands and Gordon Brown from the top of the Labour leadership. Tim Farron, Vince Cable & Jo Swinson taking over the Lib-dems.
I just get the feeling that UKIP & Nigel Farage and the narrowness of the Referendum 'victory' will panic the movers and shakers into action for change and dump the charlies.

Debate this afternoon between Gordon Brown and William Hague "UK relationship with Scotland" after Browns speech the other day saying SMPs not being allowed to vote on English matters ,would have a bearing on the Chancellor's Budget.

The people of England need to resist the Vow given by Cameron, Miliband and Clegg, particularly the promise of a Barnett bonanza in perpetuity for Scotland.

Not only is this unfair economically but entrenching the Barnett Formula will be used as justification for Scottish MPs continuing to vote on English legislation - - the argument being that English legislation has consequences for the Scottish budget because the Barnett Formula links Scottish spending to what is spent in England. It just make English Votes on English Laws unconstitutional, and Gordon Brown knows that.

Put pressure on Parliament to veto this guarantee to Scotland by signing this petition. https://www.change.org/p/members-of-the-united-ki...

This seems one of the great no-brainers of British politics. England is losing up to £4.5 billion every year because a Conservative-led government is sending that money to parts of the UK that stubbornly refuse to vote Conservative AND there is widespread agreement that the system isn't driven by social need

English Home Rule to take centre stage in election campaign

England flag‘David Cameron has vowed to place his plans for “English votes for English laws” at the heart of the general election in a move designed to embarrass Ed Miliband. The prime minister said that the Labour leader was making a “great mistake” by not signing up to the principle that the English should be given the same powers over their own affairs as those to be handed to the Scottish.’ – The Times

It would be wrong to see Scottish support for the Union as the moment to promote an English Parliament. Neither the Scots, nor others in the UK, have been asked if we want a federal country; and for one component of a federal structure to control five-sixths of the population and resources is so unbalanced as to make federation unstable

Question Time on BBC tonight came from Liverpool but had Alec Salmond on the panel. The Tory representative publicly admitted that Cameron's Vow cannot be adhered to in practical terms. Hands up anyone who believed any of the Unionist propaganda - they've just admitted they fooled you. All the FEAR propaganda about preserving the NHS shown to be untrue as the NHS in England are being strangled and forced to privatise more services as argued about on the programme tonight. Roll on the May General Election, an ideal opportunity to take revenge.

Irrespective of their personal qualities and attributes there are many politicians who have the 'Richard Nixon Guilty Looking factor' which does their Public Presentational Appearance no favours at all and are best kept in the back room away from the cameras. Sad state of affairs when we make serious decisions based on our perception of someone rather than the reality of what they stand for in political terms. I never liked her when she was speaking in the parliament or to the camera ... why ? I perceived her to be a nasty sweetie and too aggressive and always opposed to whatever was being said by others and that's not based on any scientific analysis but her appearance and my reaction to it. Wendy Alexander had an odd twist to her mouth which looked like Elvis's lip curl - just not sexy though, made her look nasty, so I didn't like her either, nothing of course to do with her pushing through the Edinburgh Trams fiasco just because she'd been humiliated politically and so cost the Scottish Taxpayer billions of wasted money. I ferried Hybrid Double-deck Electric/small Diesel environmentally friendly buses to Milton Keynes Testing Tracks and these were built at Camelon, Falkirk, Scotland, and specially adapted could have covered the Complete route, Leith, Newhaven, Granton to Edinburgh Airport etc! at NO COST at all to the Public Purse.
Politicians and their pet projects ... they are the last people on earth we should be entrusting our money to. Scottish Parliament Building and Skye (illegal) Bridge fiascos courtesy of Donald Dewar's ego and his hinger-onners. I'm just glad they hadn't the power to declare wars because they surely would if they could.
Many more Vote-losing faces will be deselected before the next General Elections. Pretty faces only need apply,
