Welcome Elizabeth - sorry I wasn't here to welcome you - but was driving home from Reading today - and it was a cold, dreich, miserable wet drive. Only saw the sun when we turned off the M74 onto the A71- but the rain soon caught up with us. As for your refreshment - I didn't know we had tea, but I hope you enjoyed it. Usually someone else's tab is up for grabs, so I'll chalk it up to JD - his tab does get paid on a fairly regular basis:-) Wonder what that was in the corner - Morag did you take your auld Afghan coat away wi you when you were last here - it could be that mouldering over there

Certainly wouldn't have needed it here this weekend, high 80's, thank God rain is forecast a couple of coming days! But a didnae want tae say, go poke it and see if JD broke intae the whusky while you were away! While ah'm here, a big shiraz, please and tell us aboot yer visit!

I wouldn't like to insult JD by refusing his hospitality, even if he doesn't know about it yet, so my tea can be added to his tab. And what's this Shiraz you're aye talking about? It sounds like a drunken sherry. Could I have a wee shot at one of them? -if JD has that on his tab too, then it'll give me dutch courage to go and poke that thing in the corner.

I thought it might be one of those paper sculptures that have been left in other renowned Scottish landmarks – but would you credit it, it can’t be, there's one on the window sill and there wouldn’t be two of them. They’re that clever, it wouldn’t surprise me if the artist was a threetowner. Morag’s awful good at painting, it could be her.

It might be her afghan coat - can I borrow it if it is? - but I thought I saw it move.
