I feel I should know where Craig's Tearoom was but I can't place it.

I can't think of Craig's Tearoom at all.
Nothing is ever really lost to us as long as we remember it.

It wasn't written by a local person, so perhaps they had a reception in the Castle Craigs?George Ardrossan wrote: ↑Wed Aug 07, 2019 9:19 am Afterwards, the party were entertained to tea in Craig’s Tearoom

GLASGOW HERALD
8 AUGUST 1895
MERCHANTS’ HOLIDAY
Yesterday was observed as the holiday of the season amongst the merchants in Ardrossan. The day being fine a number of tradesmen, along with merchants took the opportunity to sail to Strachur by the steamer DUCHESS OF HAMILTON, which was chartered for the trip.
The Glasgow & South-Western Railway Company’s steamer GLEN SANNOX carried a good number to Arran, and had an evening cruise to the same place.
The facilities for excursionists by both railways were tempting, and were fairly well patronised.
