As a kid growing up there 5siamese7, I always knew that general area as 'The Penny Farthing'

Happy to stand corrected if that wasn't the common name for this wee bridge. :)

Come to think of it Michaelm you could be right its just that the name suggests two bridges side by side. After I posted from the deep recesses of my mind I remember my mother spoke of the penny farthing bridge and the halfpenny farthing bridge which would be the two parallel metal structures that I described. These are very near the road bridge and I guess I've found the answer and you were right.

I loved the photos with the snow on the trees. Just beautiful.
My sister loves the topic of trees in her paintings and this is another dimension to what trees look like with a winter coat on.
