Behind those trees lies Ardrossan, which looks across to what could be a miniture Arran - Aboriginal name for the hills is "You Yangs".

That does look a bit like a 'mirrored' view of Arran

They fields looked like mustard seed when I went rough shooting, as no one has asked, what is Canola?

No LP it's Canola. The oil from the seed is used in such things as margarine

Canola is what we call rapeseed in the UK. And it is indeed part of the brassica (mustard/cabbage) family!

Heard on the World Service last week that Canola was originally developed in Canada, hence the 1st three letters of its name.

Wikipedia says "In the 1970s, the Rapeseed Association of Canada chose the name "canola" to represent "Can" for Canada, and "ola" for oil. One dictionary purports that it stands for Can(ada) + o(il) + l(ow) + a(cid).”

They changed the name partly because “rape oil” had unfortunate connotations. Also, earlier varieties of rapeseed oil had an unpleasant taste, so they changed the name to get round that bad press.
