Two pics from 'Up the middle road' in Stevenston. In the first one here I'm looking back along the country rd I've just cycled. The old Orchard walls are just out of sight further up on the right hand side. (Feb 2013)

Very nice Michael, note how the hedgerows are all trimmed which does nothing for our wild birds.

Aye, I noted that at the time Bill, but maybe those hedges just get a wee general 'tidy up' every couple of years or so.

I'd also noticed beforehand that areas of that particular stretch of country road were a bit prone to flooding at times. In the first of the two pics though, there's some debris etc lying on the grassy verges on either side of the road. So as well as the hedge trimming, there'd obviously been some other mechanical equipment used recently to clear out the drainage ditches that run parallel with the hedgerows.

Cheers brian, but I'm no' sure if it actually liked me or just couldnae resist a few handful's of the lush grass on my side of the hedge. :)

A couple of pics taken this morning in Stevenston.
Looking down New Street from the Cross. Had a short wee blether with the elderly lady in the photo here. She might look as though she's struggling a bit but she's perfectly fine.
