PT..I'm hoping (and assuming) Scotland will have as proud a future as her past.

The red one at least looks like a ship. The white one looks like a toop heavy floating hotel - are all these little black squares cabin windows? Do you remember there was once an idea floated for the very rich to reside on a luxuary ship kept permanently in international waters so that they did not need to pay taxes in any country. I wonder if that idea was ever implemented?

The big ship is the one Hugh and Betty are on at the moment on their trip to New Zealand. Their son only lives a short distance from Port Melbourne so they could walk down to embark on their journey.

We’re spending a few days up on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast with in-laws out from Stevenston. Took these snaps of a Kookaburra on our morning walk - as you can see they are part of the Kingfisher family.

Australian Sea Lion encountered on my morning walk at Portarlington - wild life people were informed as it was possibly unwell.

Great looking pics Hughie.
As well as being a great place for a morning or evening stroll, it looks as though fishing is also a very popular pastime for many folk round about there.

Yes, Michael there is always someone fishing from the pier. In the evening at this time of the year they fish for squid under the pier's lamp posts - you can see the ink stains where they've been catching them.

Things should get better for the recreational fishermen. Our state government is in the process of stopping commercial netting in Port Phillip Bay.

A sight I often see on my morning walk - fishermen at the boat ramp gutting their fish with plenty of interested spectators. :)
