clear up unneeded files

Post by chriso »

I've found a programme here that gets cleans up your browser and unclogs your computer freeing up more room on your hard drive, and could speed up your boot up time.
It's free but they ask for a donation, but you don't need to donate if you don't want to.
I freed 2 gigabytes after running it.

Chriso
It's been some time since your original post. I deliberately waited until you had sufficient time to analyse the performance of this tool. Any comments to add?

Tks chriso, I saw and watched it on the home page. I am more interested in your opinion of the utility though.

I've only used it once and got a good few gigs freed up.It is quite difficult to know what files to delete, as you have to be careful what you do delete. I Now I just keep an eye on my download folder and delete any unused files from there, such as movies etc. That way I can keep an eye on my hard drive capacity.
It is also better to keep a copy of all your files as back up on an external hard drive as I do, just to make sure.
I have a 1 Terra byte drive which are quite cheap now.

Yup, I have the same problem; knowing which files to delete. I know enough about 'pooters to be dangerous

Thanks Chriso.
