St Johns Primary Morrison Avenue Stevenston

Does Anyone Remember when the new St Johns Primary in Stevenston Opened in Morrison Avenue.

And where did it sit before Morrison Avenue

Don't remember when the new school opened as I'm not sure if the one I'm thinking of was it (just before Hawkhill pl.?) If so, it would be the 60's, maybe late sixties. Prior to that St. John's was Moorpark Rd, east.

Morag, I think you will find it's Moorpark Rd, West. :wink: :roll:

I can still remember standing outside that wee door below bunty Mcfarlanes office when I was a wean after playtime in a straight line, or you were belted, some of they teachers were sadists.

I was in the first primary 5,so it would have been August 73.

st johns was opened before 1973..i left hayocks primary in 73 and it was open then my guess would be 71-72 :wink:
