Ardrossan Academy open days early 1970s

A few more Ardrossan Academy pictures I haven't yet posted. We begin with this one, which shows a Physics Evening in late November 1970.
Joan Geddes is the girl in the centre of the picture demonstrating an experiment with trolleys and ticker-tape to an interested audience. I also think that's Catherine Brooks in the background on far left. But the main reason for posting this separately is the presence of the visitors, who may conceivably be recognised by someone.

The Open Day was so successful that there was a follow-up event in June 1973, and here is the first of several pictures from that one. It shows a group of girls who had been making their own dresses to go on a school cruise.
