votes at. school

Post by glenshena »

When we had homework in the primary school, we were give either gold or silver stars by the teacher depending how good we were. Last week my 6 year old grandson came home with "smilies',.on his homework, Mouths up or down depending on her judgements!. Changed days!

Books are hardly needed now in primary schools, they use electronic blackboards instead. But the necessary jotters are all professionally covered in different colours of plastic for the different subjects.

So did mine!!!

They had them on display quite recently at the Dick Institute in Kilmarnock. Brought back so many memories.

I remember the desks that were all in one with the chair. Heavy wooden affairs with a tubed metal frame always used to think they would make a great sledge

Stars cost money which comes out of the teachers own pockets...much more economical to write "smilies". 8)
