Love the way our Aussie Boomers are playing in the Basketball - don't know if they'll get through to the final but this team is the best I reckon that Oz has produced to date. The Aboriginal player, Mills. is a treat to watch - you should see how exciting Aboriginals are at Aussie rules football.

With a wee bit of trepidation (thanks spell checker) I wish them well if they get to take on the Dream Team.

The 200m doubles kayaking was good, fast and furious. All done in just over 30 seconds. Also the Brownlee brothers getting gold and silver in the triathlon true iron men.

I have a question no doubt some one will answer. Why is the Great Britain so named at the Olympics? They normally compete as the United Kingdom. There must have been a reason, can anybody help?

The official name is the great Britain and Northern Ireland Olympic team. Team GB is just the brand name. Only know this because I wondered myself and looked into it last week.

Nick Skelton wins showjumping gold at the age of 58, can't be many Olympic gold medalists older than that.

Ye never know bonzo.

Bolt is unique though, he has tremendous leg speed for a man of his height and in that respect can match most of the smaller/stockier guys - who dominated the short sprinting events in the past.
Add the much longer stride length into the equation and that's why he's able to blow them all away at times.

Think that's kinda how I remember Michael Johnson explaining it a couple of years ago. :)

Don't think I've ever seen so much bumping and tripping in the distance running before.
