Women's individual all-around Gymnast gold medal winner, Simone Biles was unbelievable. In many ways it's thanks to her caring grandparents. :)

If Michael Phelps was a country he would be 39th on the all-time gold medal list.

Just watched G.B win gold in mens rowers eights and the women won silver in the ladies race.

Team G.B are now third in the medal table- brilliant for a wee island ! :D

I would never blow camelot/national lotteries trumpet but without them Britain was in an Olympic backwater. Their funding in the past 20 years has made such a difference to elite sports.

Wife and I are half sleeping here - just after 1am waiting to see Usain Bolt. Damn, he's not in the second heat which is about to begin. Looks like a long lay in tomorrow today.

Took the UK and others for ever to wake up to that Bozo. We taxed cigarettes to the hilt from much earlier to fund sport. But the long term effects on the health of our adopted nation is showing results. :D

Just the 24 gold medals for Phelps over his Olympic career, he'll need a vault in Fort knox.
